Allen Jacobi began his entertainment career representing film legend Veronica Lake. She hired him to draft a consultant agreement for a film about her life. Although Goldie Hawn auctioned the property, Lake passed away shortly after.

From early on, his practice included film work for independent producers. He also handled Music licensing for films. Notably, Mr. Allen Jacobi best entertainment lawyer secured rights for the novel used in Village of the Damned, later produced by Universal. Produced by John Carpenter, it starred Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley. In addition, Carpenter managed the distribution of Stonerville, which was the final film of Leslie Nielson, with iconic comedy actors.

He also represented Gabrielle Anwar, known for Burn Notice and Scent of a Woman. His role as General Counsel for Miami World Cinema Center supported South Florida’s independent film industry. This organization attracted filmmakers worldwide, highlighting South Florida’s filming benefits.

Additionally, he served as Executive Producer for Bridge to Havana. This PBS-aired documentary showcased artists like Bonnie Raitt and Peter Frampton. Its soundtrack even reached #3 on Billboard’s World Music Chart.

Jacobi has also represented celebrated documentarians like Travisty Productions. Over the years, he has licensed hundreds of songs for documentaries and films. For example, the soundtrack for Ruthless People featured stars like Danny DeVito and Bette Midler.

Currently, Mr. Jacobi is working on Death of a Fool, a film in pre-production. The screenplay has earned international acclaim, and Oscar-winning cinematographer Luigi Benvisto is attached. His career continues to blend creativity and legal expertise seamlessly.
